Release of Woodworking Design Application for DesignCAD Software
Woodworkers Can Add Ten Customizable Woodworking Projects Complete with
Plans to Their DesignCAD Program.

today announced a DesignCAD Woodworking Design Add-on, a new 2D
woodworking wizard for use within DesignCAD.
DesignCAD
Woodworking Design Add-on provides instant gratification for woodworkers
and do-it-yourself, weekend warriors. After installing the DesignCAD
Woodworking Design Add-on, an automatic plan will be created based on
the customizable dimensions for any plan. Using only a small amount of
input, the wizard automatically generates easy‑to‑follow project plans
that can be printed for future reference and are perfect for taking to
the shop. Because these plans are drawn in DesignCAD, the possibilities
for further customization by experienced woodworkers are limitless.
DesignCAD
Woodworking Design gives do-it-yourselfers high-performance 2D design
through this use of a smart wizard. The woodworking wizard offers a wide
assortment of plans based on ten woodworking projects including
birdhouses, a gun rack, foot stool, dog house, bookshelves, shelf, wine
rack, work bench, picnic table, and rocking horse. A completed plan's
materials list, assembly drawings, and a final project drawing can all
be printed for easy reference at the lumberyard and workbench. This
Add-On for DesignCAD makes it possible to access the automatic
woodworking project wizard from the File menu. Any of DesignCAD’s
drafting and modeling tools can be used to customize the output project
designs.

DesignCAD Woodworking Design lets users customize the selected
project. When completed, a project plan provides the user with
detailed assembly drawings and a materials list—all of which can
be edited and/or printed. |
DesignCAD
Woodworking Design offers woodworkers a monumentally easy-to-use
project design tool. The hands-on nature of the projects also
gives families and other people who work with children a fun way
to share time in the workshop. "The projects in DesignCAD’s
Woodworking Design are perfect for parent/child projects," said

The plans created with each project offer significant value given
that a single plan can cost $12 at a lumber store.
Experienced
woodworkers can use the automatic projects for a jump start with
their own custom projects. Craftsmen can start with a project, a
rocking horse for example, and then take the design to a new level
using DesignCAD's design and drafting tools. Using the DesignCAD
Add-on in conjunction with a 2D/3D DesignCAD program such as
DesignCAD 3D Max Plus means the 2D profile can be extruded into a
full-fledged 3D model. |

DesignCAD
Shed & Shop Design provides automatic designs for sheds and shops
with ease. These sheds and shops are designed in 3D view with all
the 2D profiles needed for building. Material lists are
automatically generated with each design. These add-ons are
compatible with 3D versions of DesignCAD (3000 or newer) and
accessible through the File menu. Designs generated with these
custom tools can be modified using DesignCAD’s advanced editing
functionality.

Woodworking Design requires Microsoft Windows 9x, Me, NT4, 2000 or
XP and the installation of DesignCAD Express Version 12 or a 3D
version of DesignCAD (3000 or newer). DesignCAD Woodworking
