Oreo Cookie Ice Cream Dessert

 

Ingredients: Instructions

30-35 crushed Oreo cookies (or other similar cookie)

Pampered Chef chopper is a good way to crush cookies. Combine cookies and butter and press into a 9”x13” pan. Put in freezer.
½ cup melted butter or margarine

½ gallon vanilla ice cream (cheap ice-cream is okay)

Soften the ice cream (you can just leave it sitting out for a little while until softened) Spread the ice-cream into pan over the frozen Oreo cookie bottom. Refreeze for at least an hour.  

3 Tablespoons butter or margarine

1 cup sugar

3 Tablespoons cocoa powder

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 13.oz can of evaporated milk (12 oz. cans are okay too)

 

Combine in pan. Bring to boil. Simmer for about 8 minutes. Cool completely (in frig is best). Pour over ice cream. Leave pan level and put it in freezer for at least an hour.

1 small container Cool Whip

Crushed peanuts

 

Spread cool whip over top of dessert.

Crush peanuts (Pampered Chef chopper works great). I like tons of dry-roasted, salted peanuts crushed over the top.
